Kit Update

Kit Update

New Red and Black Threads!

Hi All,
Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM; it was very well received.
Regarding points raised around the kit, we have now taken stock of our inventory, with age groups passing down the larger sizes, etc. This process has highlighted the need to develop a new way of working, as unfortunately, we are struggling on a few fronts:

  • A number of kits are not being returned or are returned in an unusable condition.
  • Supplier changes have caused the kit to look inconsistent and messy.
  • The amount of volunteer time required to manage the kit is significant.

Based on research from other clubs, schools, and parent feedback, we are planning to move to a different method. We will now be asking parents to purchase kit outside of the subscriptions. This will be available from a local supplier, Chiltern Sports. This arrangement will benefit the club in several ways, such as managing stock, maintaining consistency, and negotiating more competitive pricing on our behalf.

Surridge - Strike shirt ‘Fast Track’ Design – in black and red (to match the existing club colours) - £22.00 for junior and £25.00 for senior sizes.
Match shorts – black - £10.00 for juniors and £12.00 for senior sizes.
Match socks – black - £7.50 for juniors and £8.00 for senior sizes.

We understand that not everyone may be able to afford the additional cost of purchasing new kit. To support those who need it, we will endeavor to provide the new kit to players who require financial assistance. To help fund this, a small mark-up on kit sold through the website and in the clubhouse will be applied.

This isn’t mandatory, and we are asking age group managers to take the lead on how to implement this for their squads. Some age groups may choose to replace their squad’s kit wholly or gradually over time—either option is fine, as the new short-sleeved kit can be worn alongside the older kit. However, we are looking to phase out all the old kit by over the course of the season and ask that players return their old kit to the club so that we can donate them to charity, as we have done previously.

We will also be offering 3/4 tops, hoodies, and rain jackets for purchase through Chiltern Sports, which will be available via the website and in the club house.

Thanks,

Paul
