9. Photography & Social Media

9.1 The Club follows FA guidance on photography and the use of images of children.
9.2 Parental/guardian consent will be obtained prior to use of images.
9.3 Members must not post content that could harm the reputation of the Club or its members.

10. Data Protection (GDPR)

10.1 The Club complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
10.2 Personal data will be used solely for club administration, communication, and FA registration purposes.
10.3 Data will be stored securely and only retained as long as necessary.
10.4 Members have the right to access, amend, or request deletion of their data.

WENDOVER JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB
MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS (FA-AFFILIATED CLUB)

1. Membership Eligibility

1.1 Membership is open to children aged 5-17 in accordance with age group eligibility set by The Football Association (The FA).
1.2 All players must be registered via a parent or legal guardian.
1.3 Membership is subject to approval by the Club Committee.
1.4 All members must be registered in accordance with The FA and relevant County FA rules.

2. Affiliation & Governance

2.1 Wendover Junior Football Club (“the Club”) is affiliated to [insert County FA].
2.2 The Club operates in accordance with the rules and regulations of The Football Association (The FA), County FA, and any affiliated leagues.
2.3 All members agree to abide by The FA Respect Code of Conduct and associated policies.

3. Registration & Fees

3.1 Annual membership and/or subscription fees must be paid in full by the specified date.
3.2 Failure to pay fees may result in suspension from training and matches.
3.3 Fees are non-refundable except at the discretion of the Club Committee.
3.4 Additional costs (e.g., kit, tournaments) may apply and will be communicated in advance.

4. Code of Conduct (FA Respect)

4.1 All players, parents/guardians, coaches, and spectators must adhere to The FA Respect Codes of Conduct.
4.2 Members must show respect to:

  • Match officials
  • Coaches and volunteers
  • Teammates and opponents

4.3 The following will not be tolerated:
  • Abusive or discriminatory language or behaviour
  • Dissent towards officials
  • Bullying or harassment

4.4 Breaches may result in disciplinary action in line with FA and Club procedures.

5. Safeguarding & Welfare

5.1 The Club is committed to safeguarding children in line with The FA Safeguarding Children Policy and Procedures.
5.2 A Club Welfare Officer (CWO) is appointed and available for reporting concerns.
5.3 All coaches and volunteers working with children will hold valid DBS checks and FA safeguarding qualifications where required.
5.4 Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to the CWO or County FA.

6. Health & Medical Information

6.1 Parents/guardians must provide accurate medical and emergency contact information at registration.
6.2 The Club must be informed of any changes to medical conditions.
6.3 Players participate at their own risk; the Club will take reasonable steps to ensure safety in line with FA guidance.
6.4 Appropriate kit, including shin pads, must be worn at all times during training and matches.

7. Training, Matches & Selection

7.1 Team selection is at the discretion of the coaching staff.
7.2 The Club supports equal opportunity and player development in line with FA youth guidelines.
7.3 Regular attendance and commitment are expected.
7.4 Absences should be communicated to coaches in advance where possible.

8. Discipline & Complaints

8.1 The Club operates a disciplinary procedure consistent with FA regulations.
8.2 Sanctions may include warnings, suspension, or termination of membership.
8.3 Complaints should be raised respectfully through the Club’s designated process, not via social media or during matches.
8.4 The Club reserves the right to refer serious matters to the County FA.

11. Insurance & Liability

11.1 The Club maintains appropriate insurance in line with FA affiliation requirements.
11.2 The Club is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
11.3 Participation in football carries inherent risk; the Club accepts liability only where legally required.

12. Cancellation & Force Majeure

12.1 Training sessions and matches may be cancelled due to weather, pitch conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
12.2 The Club will endeavour to provide notice but accepts no liability for cancellations.

13. Termination of Membership

13.1 The Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for breaches of these Terms or FA regulations.
13.2 No refund of fees will be issued in cases of disciplinary termination.

14. Amendments

14.1 The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions.
14.2 Members will be notified of any material changes.
