Hi All,
I hope you’re all enjoying a fantastic Half Term! It’s been wonderful to see all the teams in action over the past few weeks. Best of luck to the older age groups as they move into the more competitive stages of the season.
Just a few updates from me this month…
Volunteers – We continue to have a strong team of volunteers keeping everything running smoothly. All skills are welcome, so please do get in touch if you can support in any way. A big thank you to Kenny, who has recently joined us as Social Secretary. Ideas are already flowing, and we’ll be sharing some exciting plans soon. Obviously, first on the agenda was the Golf Day running this Friday. A few spots are still available if you’re interested – Coaches Golf Day.
Girls Football – Unfortunately, due to BASE being unable to provide resources, Girls Football sessions are currently on hold. All girls are more than welcome to join the standard age group sessions in the meantime. We are actively seeking volunteers and coaching groups to help get Girls Football back up and running as soon as possible.
Cubs Football – Saturdays from 9–10am. Our U6 coach, George, has been doing a fantastic job running both U6 and Cubs football over the past few weeks. We will now be splitting the groups to offer more tailored sessions for both U6s and Cubs.
Lastly, and just in time for Christmas, the new WJFC hoodies are now for sale. We will have a small supply available behind the bar on Saturday morning and will be taking orders then and offering the chance to test sizing. You can also purchase hoodies directly from Chiltern Sports.
Thanks,
Paul
