Parents Survey Feedback-
We are grateful for the continued support and positive feedback from our members and parents. The club is moving strongly in the right direction, with clear and timely communication praised for keeping everyone well informed. Our coaching team receives high marks for their dedication, which has been very well received.
However, several areas have been highlighted for improvement:
Facilities: The clubhouse, especially the toilets and changing areas, is in urgent need of refurbishment or a possible rebuild to create a more welcoming environment for players and visiting teams. Refreshment options on match days could also be improved, including offering proper coffee and reviewing pricing. - Clubhouse Committee have a working list which we hope to see in action ASAP
Volunteer Engagement: There is a call to encourage more volunteers throughout the season, particularly to support running the clubhouse on weekends and during tournaments. A sign-up system could help increase involvement. - Please feel free to speak with the lovely volunteers behind the counter or drop me a message and we will happily sign you up to help!
Player Development and Fairness: While competitiveness is valued, there is concern about ensuring all players receive fair playing time and development opportunities. Some feedback suggests playing time could be managed more fairly and that individual player feedback would help address areas for improvement.
Kit and Equipment: Consistency in kit provision needs attention, as some feel newer or younger players receive less favourable equipment. - We have now amended the way we issue kit; we will hand out the remains of stock we have but we'd now ask any new kit requests follow the new process https://www.wendoverjuniorfootball.org.uk/news/kit-update-2940593.html
Community and Events: Suggestions include enhancing club atmosphere on match days and expanding annual club events to match other teams’ offerings. - We would love to offer this and welcome any suggestions!
New Year, New Kit Shed
Great news is we have been able to secure funding from the Lionel Abel Smith Trust and possibly the Parish Council (Grant application is currently being reviewed) for a new kit shed.
Big thanks to Alex Wright and Paul Taliotis on their support in this project, we hope to get work underway ASAP.
Lastly, we thank all volunteers, coaches, and committee members for their hard work and commitment. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to build on our strong foundations and strive for an even better club experience for all.
